“The toddlers crawled across a 10-foot long mat as excited adults coached from the sidelines. Some of the parent’s strategies included stuffed animals, food and toys. The winning baby, Trent Miele, was coaxed across the finish line with a baseball. Mary, Mother of Winning Toddler: “He’s very interested in baseball so anything to do with them, he’ll go for them, run for them across the room.” Nine-month-old Trent started crawling when he was just 6 and a half months old.
